I would publish my magazine with IPC Media. This publsher it has a cross media convergence, which means it has links with other media types like TV, films, music etc. because IPC is owned by Time Warner. This is a short clip on Times Warner.
IPC is a big company with lots of other successful magazines which means they are good at publishing. So my magazine is more likely to be successful if IPC publishes it. But its size is also a risk as at any time part of Time Warner could go broke leading to the collapse of their empire including IPC. However that a risk I am willing to take.
This is a video about IPC media and the magazines it publishes.
I have choose IPC as they don't a magazine which is like mine. NME is a music magazine aimed at males published by IPC. Unlike NME my magazine is aimed at both genders not just males. There is more chance that my magazine will be a success.
IPC is one media in a massive multi-million company, Times Warner, so therefore my magazine can be advertised in different media types. For example; the adverts just before a movie produced and directed by Warner Bros, the film part of the company, which is aimed at the targeted audience. This is good because it increases the number of people who can see adverts for the magazine and deciede to buy it. Also another advantage of choosing IPC is that it is use to getting new magazines and making them successsful. This is makes my choose this publisher over others as they are experienced in publishing magazines as they have been a publisher for magazines since 1963.
Like I have mentioned before there is a risk that the company would go bankrupt and then collapse and that is a risk I am willing to take as the advantages of being with IPC cancels out the diadvantages.
Why haven't you gone with self publishing? I hear you saying that question and the answer to that is there is no profit in doing that. Self publishing has brought democracy into the magazine industry but it is very expensive and therefore only big companies can survive in the magazine industry. That is why I have gone with IPC instead of publishing itself.
IPC has its own distribution company, Market Force. This will allow my magazine to be distribute to shops nation wide at a low price as it's part of the publishers that I am with.
There will be a online version of LOUD. Which is good as it is free to
produce and purchase. It also is enviromental as it doesn't use paper and these might appeal to certain members in the target audience e.g. hippies.
If the magazine becomes popular there will be a radio and television station where a vary of music will be played, there will be chats with bands/ artists etc.
The magazine will sponsor music adwards like The BRITS, MTV Video Music Awards, MTV Europe Music Awards etc. , all the music cermonies which the audience would be familair with. We would encourage voting in our magazine, advertising the event on radio and television and do articles on the cermony itself to create publicity for the future. If the magazine sponsors these big events, in the future the favour will be returned.
iTunes is a big company that most of my target audience would have used at least
one time to download music. So I will advertise their products in the magazine like Ipads, Ipods, downloadable music etc.

This is a good account of IPC but I would like ore on WHY you think it would be the publisher for your magazine. Also consider if there would be any disadvantages to going with a BIG publisher compared to, sday, self-punlishing. What control would you lose? What would a big publisher expect of your magazine? Also note that IPC has a DISTRBUITION company called MarketForce and you should look at their website.
